Let’s not call the Steam Machines initiative dead quite yet — but it may have been resurrected in a slightly new form. Apparently Valve is attending this year’s GDC with a holy trinity (Half-Life 3 confirmed!) of new hardware for PC gamers. The news comes via the traditional all-too-brief press release from Valve PR, stating simple that the company “will show a family of new Steam devices at next week’s Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco. Products being demonstrated at GDC include Steam Machines with the final Steam Controller, new living room devices, and a previously-unannounced SteamVR hardware system.” Valve’s press release also contains a call to developers and publishers interested in learning about the new SteamVR hardware to schedule a demo at http://www.steampowered.com/universe.
